Infosession on Erasmus+ opportunities within the conference “Eurydice Ukraine: Improving Access to Education” (30.10.2025, Kyiv)
On October 30, 2025, the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Harmonization of the Ukrainian Education System with the European Education Area: Achievements, Challenges, and Prospects” took place. The event was held as part of the European education network project “Eurydice Ukraine: Improving Education Accessibility” (EU-IEA), supported by the European Commission, and hosted by the national unit of “Eurydice” in Ukraine — Institute of Educational Analytics.
The conference aimed to deepen the professional dialogue between the educational and scientific communities regarding the integration of Ukrainian education into the European space. Key themes included educational policy harmonization, accessibility, digitalization, innovative development, and international cooperation under the challenges of war and post-war recovery.
The event opened with a speech by Serhiy Londar, First Deputy Director of Institute of Educational Analytics, who noted that the conference coincided with the 45th anniversary of the Eurydice Network. He emphasized that Ukraine’s experience during the war has become a model of educational resilience, maintaining a European vector even under extraordinary conditions. Nataliia Matsiievska expressed gratitude to European partners for their steadfast support and the promotion of European values in Ukrainian education.
The plenary session served as a platform for discussing strategic modernization. Leading scientists addressed topics such as human capital measurement, education funding, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching.

Concluding the conference, Hanna Tereshchenko highlighted the importance of showcasing Ukrainian expertise in European initiatives. She specifically noted that in July 2025, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU) approved the Roadmap for Harmonizing Ukraine’s Educational Statistics System with EU Standards. This document, implemented with the active participation of SSI “IEA”, serves as a crucial step toward aligning national data with European methodologies.
The event closed with a call for continued constructive dialogue to ensure the successful integration of Ukraine into the European Education Area.
